Bulletin for July 24

We thank Pastor Andrew Wong, of Chinese Evangelical Alliance Church of Toronto for preaching to us this morning. May the Lord richly bless his ministry.
Rev. Joe Chan is invited by Zion Chinese Alliance Church to preach in the English Service today. He will be back to teach Sunday School.
English fellowships are scheduled to set up lunch and clean up next week. Please note and come early to help.
At last Sunday General Meeting: We have elected Yvonne Mak & Wilfred Li as representatives of church members in 2017 Elder Nomination Committee. Together with Rev. Yung, they will form the Nominating Committee with representatives from the Elder Board, James Chan & Thomas Chang. Please pray for wisdom, as they try to nominate elders for 2017.
For second half year of 2016, the budgeted weekly offering target will be around $21,000 on average. Please continue to pray and remember the needs of the church.
Praise the Lord for the beautiful weather during the Fun Fair yesterday. Pray that those outreach activities and events will be blessing to the unchurched families and the neighbours nearby. Also, all of the proceeds from the Fun Fair will be contributed to the China Dali STM fund. Continue to pray for the second week of Children Summer Day Camp, which is run by Scripture Union.
Elder Board Resolution in July as follows:
- It is resolved that It is resolved that the sum of $1000 to be offered to Manjohn Wong Work Special from the Other organizations, under the Mission Fund.
Due to Children Summer Day Camp, this Tuesday basketball activity on July 26 will be cancelled. Also, Thursday night badminton activity will be cancelled in July & August.
Today is the last day of Fund Raising with food sale for China STM. Booth tables will be set up in gym during lunch time. (We’ll still have normal lunch provided during this fundraising event).
The target of supporting some needy students of Dali to participate in the English summer camp has been reached with $1,350 offerings. For supporting 4 teacher assistants to come to Dali from Chengdu to help out, we have received $2,050 up to last Sunday as our target is $2,600. Today is the last day to collect offering, please specify for “Dali STM – Teacher Assistant Support” on the offering envelop.
Rev. William Yung is preaching at Toronto Simpson Chinese Alliance Church today, and shall be back afterward.
Please remember our mission ministry and missionaries in our prayers:
- Angel Wong from Carmel fellowship went to China Zhaojue thru Hong Kong for mission trip until mid-August. She is serving with Simon & Eva Fok together, pray for her health and effective ministry.
- The Dali short-term mission team will be going to Dali, Yunnan from Aug 1 to 13. Please pray for their preparation and spiritual readiness, and may the team members follow His guidance. May God protect them, lead them, and provide opportunities for them to witness for Him. Remember financial needs for supporting our team members and teaching assistants.
There are no Awana Clubs in the summer until Sept 11. There is a summer children program from 9:30-11:00am for age 3 to Grade 6.
Rev. Daniel Tang is taking vacation leave until Aug 12 (Fri). He will be back to church on Aug 14 (Sun).
