Bulletin for August 14
- We thank Rev. Timothy Quek, the English Lead Pastor of North Toronto Chinese Alliance Church for preaching this morning. May the Lord richly bless his ministry.
- Weekly English Ministry Prayer Meeting is held on every Wednesday from 8pm to 9pm. Please come and pray.
- Our softball team Providence will be playing their last game of the season today from 4pm to 6pm at Hobart Park. Come out and support the team!
- Rev. Joe Chan is taking vacation leave until Aug 18 (Thu). He will go to Taipei to attend the 9th Chinese Congress on World Evangelization from Aug 19-29, then will take vacation leave from Aug 30- Sept 4, including makeup holidays, he will return to church on Sept 7 (Wed).
- Pastor Anthony Yuen will take vacation leave from Aug 21 to 28 (Sun) and will return to the church on Aug 29 (Mon).
- Administrative Assistant Karen Fung will take days off from Aug 22-24 (Mon – Wed) and will return to the church on Aug 25 (Thu).
- There are no Awana Clubs in the summer until Sept 11. There is still a summer children’s program from 9:30-11:00am for age 3 to Grade 6.
- Thursday night badminton activity is cancelled in August.
- Ambassadors for Christ in Canada will be holding their “Frosh Connexion” event with a BBQ for all the first year post secondary students on Aug 16 (Tue) from 5:00pm to 9:30pm at North York Chinese Baptist Church. Please visit www.afccanada.org for detailed information.
- Please remember our mission ministry and missionaries in your prayers:
- Angel Wong, Simon & Eva Fok from Carmel fellowship just finished their serving in Zhaojue, China. Pray for the safety of their return trip.
- The Dali short-term mission team has finished hosting an English Camp at Dali, Yunnan.Pray that their witness inspired the students, and that the seed of the gospel would grow in their hearts.
- The family of Pastor Lewis & Felain Lam has already returned to Germany. May God give them spiritual strength to continue their ministry.
