Bulletin for September 4

  • English fellowships are scheduled to set up lunch and clean up today. Please note and stay late to help.
  • We welcome the new grade 7 students joining our Sunday Service starting today.
  • Weekly English Ministry Prayer Meeting is held every Wednesday from 8pm to 9pm. Please come and pray.
  • Elders and deacons’ quarterly meeting will be held this Saturday (Sept 10) in Room 1-3 at 9:30am. Elders and deacons please take note.
  • Baptism in December 4. We are accepting baptism applications now. Please obtain an application form from the usher table and submit it together with your testimony to Philip Cheung or Angel Wong or drop it into the drop off box upstairs no later than Nov 6 (Sun).
  • Please note that Thursday night badminton activity will resume on Sept 8 at 7:30pm.
  • Starting in September, the Samuel Youth Fellowship will be starting fresh by splitting into two new fellowships. There will be one for junior high students from grades 7-8 and one for high school students from grades 9-12.
    • The junior high fellowship will be meeting on the first and third Fridays of each month from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm starting September 16.
    • The high school fellowship will be meeting every Friday from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm starting September 2.

  • 2016-2017 Awana Clubs and Orange program will start respectively on Sunday Sept 18 and Sept 4. Registration starts today for both programs. The fee for Awana Clubs is $50 per child. Parents can pick up the registration form at the reception desk and return it to Andrew Chan.
  • There are no Awana Clubs in the summer until Sept 11. There is still a summer children’s program from 9:30-11:00am for age 3 to Grade 6.
  • Rev. Joe Chan is on vacation leave, including makeup holidays, he will return to the church on Sept 7 (Wed).
  • Please remember our mission ministry and missionaries in your prayers:
    • All of The Dali short-term mission team members have returned to Canada. Praise the Lord, there were 11 people who accepted Jesus as their Saviour. Continue to pray for their faith in Christ.
    • There will be a mission team from BC visiting Pastor Anne Louie, in El Salvador, next month. They will help with evangelism, visitation, preaching & training. May God lead them.
