Bulletin for January 8

• Next Sunday during pastoral prayer, we will especially pray for our 2017 Elders & Deacons of English Ministry. In addition, please remember our new Elder & Deacons in your prayer. They are: Cecilia Ho, Gia Suen, Candy Wong, Miriam Ng, Alice Young, Simon Fok & Wilfred Li.
• Weekly English Ministry Prayer meeting will be held on every Wed at 8pm at church. Please come out and pray.
• 1^st quarter of 2017 Sunday School has started today. There are three courses:                                                                                                                   a) Ephesians (suitable for Junior High School students, room 5)                                                                                                                                                   b) Joshua (suitable for High School students, rooms 6-7)                                                                                                                                                              c) Gospel of Matthew (suitable for University students and adults, rooms 10-11)                                                                                                                        We encourage everyone to study God’s Word together.

• Finance announcement: Any claims for 2016 expenses, please submit by today. Also thank God for His providence that last month’s targeted offering was reached. Ask God to continue to encourage brothers and sisters to make offering regularly.
• Ministry Co-workers Retreat will be held on Jan 21 (next Sat) at 9:30-11:45am. Elders, deacons, fellowship counselors & committee members for both English & Chinese congregations, choir, worship teams, Sunday School teachers & department members are all urged to attend for a time of prayer & equipping to serve.
• The “Infant CPR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation” workshop in English, organized by our church and Life with A Baby, will be held on Jan 21 (next Sat) from 1:30pm to 3:00pm. Welcome all brothers & sisters and new friends to join.
• The deadline for submitting articles or department reports for 2016 Church Annual Report is Feb 26 (Sun). All the 2016 & 2017 elders and deacons are asked to take note.
• Application for June’s baptism is OPEN. Please hand in application forms to either Pastor Darren Tsang, Cecilia Ho, or Philip Cheung by Feb 26 (Sun).
• We will be launching our newly redesigned church website in Feb. The website will have information about our church for seekers, sermons, announcements, and various forms which people can download, and more! As such, we will be printing a decreased amount of worship bulletins to encourage members to refer to the website either on their tablets or smartphones. We hope that the new website will be a great tool for us to use while also being more environmentally friendly and decreasing wastage.
• Daniel & Joshua Ching’s grandmother passed away in Hong Kong three days ago. May God comfort their families and give them strength as they grieve.
• Joe Chan is taking his leave until Apr to complete his D. Min thesis. The details are as follows: From January 2 to March 9, is his remaining annual leave of 2016, annual leave of 2017, study leave of 2017 and make up holiday. And from March 10 to April 30 is a no pay leave.
