Bulletin for March 12

• We welcome our guest speaker Pastor Andrew Wong, English Pastor of Chinese Evangelical Alliance Church of Toronto, and thank him for preaching this morning. May the Lord richly bless his ministry.
• Next week, our guest speaker is Rev. Benjamin Li, English Pastor of North Toronto Chinese Baptist Church, Melville Mission.
• Weekly English Ministry Prayer meeting is held every Wed at 8pm at church. Please come out and pray.
• There will be no Awana Clubs today and next Sunday due to March break, but we will have another children program instead.
• Today is the early bird registration deadline of Children Summer Day Camp, the fee is $130 per week. Please submit your form as soon as possible. The camps will be held on July 17-21 and July 24-28 (Mon to Fri) for children from JK to Grade 6.
• General Meeting will take place next Sunday right after Chinese Service in the sanctuary. All church members are required to attend. 2016 financial report has been inserted into today’s bulletin. A list of eligible voting members had been posted on the bulletin board outside the sanctuary. If you can’t attend the meeting, please pick up the proxy forms at reception table. Also 2016 Annual Church Report is available on web site. Meeting agenda is as follows: i. Report of external auditors   ii.To approve 2016 financial report   iii. 2016 departments report
• Canada Summer Jobs.Our church is looking to hire summer students again this year. Go to ccac.church/eng and look under “Resources” for application information. The deadline to apply is April 16 (Sun). Please note that positions will only be offered when funding is approved. 

• VBS Volunteers. Children Ministry is looking for youth volunteers for our 2-week VBS in end of July. Go to ccac.church/eng and look under “Resources” for application information. The deadline to apply is April 16 (Sun).
• The short-term mission team to Dali, China has been formed and the date of the English simmer camp is Aug. 1-12. If any brothers and sisters are still interested in joining the team, please contact Philip Cheung.
• Elder Board Resolution in March:

1. It is resolved to accept the draft external report presented by the external auditor.
2. It is resolved to give $1000.00 from the Benevolent Fund to help pay for the medical expenses of overseas missionaries.

• Administrative Assistant Karen Fung will take 3 days off on Mar 13-15 (this Mon to Wed)
• Looking for a good mission experience in the Summer? Remix Toronto Local Mission will be held from June 28 to July 2 (Wed-Sun). It is a five day interactive and hands-on urban mission experience designed to equip, train and inspire young people to ‘center their lives within the mission and message of Jesus’. Early bird deadline is on Friday, Apr 21. For detailed information, go to torontoremix.com. Please register with Pastor Darren or Philip Cheung.
• Joint Mission Convention JMC 2017 will be held on Aug 4-7 (Fri-Mon) at Mohawk College, Hamilton. The topic is “From the deeper life, comes the overflowing life”. Speaker is Dr. Gordon T. Smith of Ambrose University College in Calgary. Registration is started now. If you register within early bird period, which is until Apr 30 (Sun), registration fee can be reduced. You can pick up the form at reception table. Our church will gather all the registration forms, so please submit it to Derek Ng from Carmel Fellowship. Those registering from our church can give free-will offerings for the convention fee to our church, designated to “JMC” on offering envelope. B/S is encouraged to make free-will offering. If there is any question, please contact Mission Department.
