English fellowships are scheduled to set up lunch and clean up today. Please note and stay late to help.
Since Sunday School class “Revolution 1+2” was ended last Sunday, another class “Am I Happy? + Friends” will be started today to Aug 27 in rooms 2-3. It is suitable for High School and Junior High.
Fund Raising with food sale for China STM. From today, 9 & 16, We’ll sell food at lunch time on these Sundays. Booth tables will be set up in gym (PS: we’ll still have normal lunch provided during the event). If you want to help out for preparing and serving food, please contact Betty Kong from Zion fellowship.
2017 Awana Award Presentation will be held next Sunday, July 9 after Chinese Sunday Service.
General Membership Meeting will take place on July 16 right after Chinese Sunday service. All members please reserve your time to attend. Agenda as follows: a) To elect Wilfred Li & Ada Lui as congregation representatives of 2018 Elder Nomination Committee. Together with Rev. Daniel Tang, they will form the Nominating Committee with representatives from Elder Board: Andrew Chan & Cecilia Ho.
Due to Children Summer Day Camp, Tuesday basketball activity on July 18 & 25 will be cancelled. Also, Thursday night badminton activity will be cancelled in July & August.
There will be no Awana Clubs from July 16 to Sept 10. There will be a summer children program from 9:30-11:00am for age 3 to Grade 6.
Originally scheduled Church Fun Day on July 8 is now changed to church picnic on Sept 16 (Sat) at Milliken Park. Please reserve your time to attend and welcome to invite family and friends. Details will be released later.
Our church has hired 9 students as our full time Summer Students on Children, English, IT and garage sale.

Pastor Anthony Yuen is taking a day off today.
Daniel Tang will take days off from July 5-7 (Wed – Fri), and will be back to the church on July 9 (Sun).
There is a need to support some needy students of Dali to participate in the English summer camp. For 25 students, the need is about CAD 1,500.00. If brothers and sisters have a burden to support, please put your offering in the church’s offering envelop and specify for “Dali STM – Student Support”. Until last week, we have received $650. The deadline for the support will be July 16.
There is a need to support 6 teacher assistants to come to Dali from Chengdu to help out the work of translation, sharing the gospel, and other duties in the English summer camp. If brothers and sisters have a burden to support, please put your offering in the church’s offering envelop and specify for “Dali STM – Teacher Assistant Support”. The need is about CAD 2,000.00. Until last week, we have received $500. The deadline for the support will be July 16.
Local Short Term Mission: Our church will join with Toronto Chinese Alliance Church in downtown Toronto to provide dinner to low income or homeless people. The first time will be on July 22 (Sat), and tentatively every two months thereafter. Those who are interested, please contact Thomas Chang or Adi Lau.
This year, instead of a Fun Fair, our church will be holding a Garage Sale on Aug 19, Sat. The garage sale would be a platform to meet some of our neighbours and community. We are now accepting donations. Please put all donation items on the stage in the gym. All proceeds from the Garage Sale will go towards the Mission Fund.
