Bulletin for December 24, 2017

Today is Christmas Joint Worship “Baby Jesus, Born to be a Savior”. Children will only join the worship, and children presentation, and will return to the Orange program afterward. Also Merry Christmas to everyone!
Next term of Sunday School will start on Jan 7. The first 9 weeks (Jan 7 to Mar 4) will be sermon discussions on the Fruit of the Spirit for all three classes, JHS (room 1), HS (rooms 2-3) and adults (rooms 10-11).
Awana Clubs will be resumed on Jan 7 next year.
2017 Year End Praise Joint Worship will be held at 10:30am next Sunday. There will be no Sunday School, Snack Ministry and Awana Clubs on that day. Orange program will be held at the same time too. Chinese congregation will have Year End Praise, Thanksgiving and Sharing at 2pm on the same date in the Sanctuary. Please join us to praise and give thanks to our Lord.
Finance announcement: this week and next week, we need around $10,000 General & Building fund offerings and $10,000 mission fund offering in order to balance our deficit and forecas expenses. In addition, any claims for 2017 expenses, please submit it by Jan 15 (Monday).
Daniel Tang will take days off this Wed to Fri (27-29).
Elder Board Resolution in Dec: i) It is resolved to make offering from the Mission Fund to C&MA: $4,300 (GAF).

From August 19 – 26, 2018 we have a new missions opportunity with Mexico Caravan Ministriesto Tijuana, Mexico. We’ll be building shelters for those in need, interacting with locals, and embarking on a discipleship journey all at the same time. Apply by January 14! Go to mexico.ccac.church for more or talk to Pastor Darren, Cecilia Ho, or Thomas Chang.

Local Short Term Mission: Our church and Toronto Alliance Church in downtown Toronto had agreed that starting next year, on the third Saturday of every two months, will provide dinner to low income or homeless people. The first time will be on Feb 17, 2018. Those who are interested, please contact Thomas Chang or Adi Lau.
We’re hosting a one day “Work as Worship” simulcast on Friday, Feb. 23, 2018. People can register through the website https://www.workasworshipretreat.org/. Click on “Attend Local Simulcast” and search “Cornerstone Chinese Alliance Church”. A list of speakers and a promotional video is on the site to understand more about what this one day simulcast is about. If interested, please register online. 2017 Themelios Winter Retreat will be held in Countryside Camp in Cambridge this Fri to next Mon. The theme is Return of the King. Please pray for the speaker, Pastor Ambrose Ty, the message and the open hearts of participants.
