Today is Year End Praise Joint Worship. Chinese congregation will have Year End Praise, Thanksgiving and Sharing at 2pm in the Sanctuary. Please join us to praise and give thanks to our Lord.
Next week, English fellowships are scheduled to set up lunch and clean up. Please note and come to help.
Next term of Sunday School will start next Sunday, Jan 7. The first 9 weeks (Jan 7 to Mar 4) will be sermon discussions on the Fruit of the Spirit for all three classes, JHS (room 1), HS (rooms 2-3) and adults (rooms 10-11).
Awana Clubs will be resumed on Jan 7 next Sunday.
Next year, our new deacons are as follows: Wilson Young, Janette Chang, Joyce Wong, Ada Lui, Ariel Tsang, Lewis Leung, Chris Luck, Martin Wong, Rita Chang and Sheila Wong. Please remember them in your prayer.
Finance announcement: Praise the Lord, we have received $53,000 offering last Sunday. We still need $5,000 offering for mission fund. In addition, please submit any claims for 2017 expenses by Jan 15 (Monday).
Daniel Tang will take days off this Wed to Fri (3-5).
Administrative Assistant Karen Fung will take a day off on Thur, Jan 4.
2017 Themelios Winter Retreat is currently at the Countryside Camp in Cambridge until tomorrow. Please pray for the speaker, Pastor Ambrose Ty, the messages, the open hearts of participants and safety.
From August 19 – 26, 2018 we have a new missions opportunity with Mexico Caravan Ministriesto Tijuana, Mexico. We’ll be building shelters for those in need, interacting with locals, and embarking on a discipleship journey all at the same time. Apply by January 14! Local Short Term Mission: Our church and Toronto Alliance Church in downtown Toronto had agreed that starting next year, on the third Saturday of every two months, will provide dinner to low income or homeless people. The first time will be on Feb 17, 2018. Those who are interested, please contact Thomas Chang or Adi Lau.
We’re hosting a one day “Work as Worship” simulcast on Friday, Feb. 23, 2018. People can register through the website https://www.workasworshipretreat.org/. Click on “Attend Local Simulcast” and search “Cornerstone Chinese Alliance Church”. A list of speakers and a promotional video is on the site to understand more about what this one day simulcast is about. If interested, please register online.
