We welcome our guest speaker Rev. Arthur Wong from Toronto Jaffray Chinese Alliance Church.
Rev. Dr. Joe Chan is invited to be a conference’s speaker in Melville Baptist Church this weekend.
General Membership Meeting will take place today right after Chinese Sunday service. All members please attend. A list of eligible voting members has been posted on the bulletin board outside Sanctuary. Agenda as follows: a) To elect Tom Choi & Alan Kwok as congregation representatives of 2019 Elder Nomination Committee. Together with Rev. Daniel Tang, they will form the Nominating Committee with representatives from Elder Board: Andrew Chan & Grace Tang.
Our church is now in need of re-establishing the Pastoral Searching Committee to start the process of searching a Senior Pastor. There are three member representatives in the Committee. Starting from today to Aug 19 (Sun) is the period of Nomination of three member representatives. Following is the qualification for Nomination Committee Members and nominating a Nomination Committee Member:
- Qualification for Nomination Committee Members:
  - Must remain as voting member for at least two years immediately prior to the election.
  - Must have continuously served in a church position for at least two years.
- Qualification for nominating a Nomination Committee Member:
  - The nominator must be a member for at least two (2) years and be a voting member in the previous General Meeting.

The nomination must be seconded by another voting member, and submit in writing to Andrew Chan or Willy Cheng or email to nomination@ccac.church.

There will be no Awana Clubs from today to Sept 9. There will be a summer children program from 9:30-11:00am for age 3 to Grade 6.
A thanksgiving banquet will be held in the evening on October 7th (Sunday). There are limited spots available, please register at the reception desk today. In addition, Family/individuals picture quota is already full. Thanks for your time and co-operation.
Please clean up your own food in the refrigerators by today as we need extra space for the Children Summer Day Camp food team.
Due to Children Summer Day Camp, Tuesday basketball activity on July 17 & 24 will be cancelled. Also, Thursday night badminton activity will be cancelled in July & August.
Application for Dec’s baptism is OPEN. Please hand in application forms to either Pastor Darren Tsang, Cecilia Ho, or Philip Cheung by Aug 26 (Sun).
Gospel Conversations Training: When it comes to sharing the Gospel, what do we say? And how? Does it have to be awkward? Fortunately, sharing Christ to our non-believing friends, family, classmates, and co-workers is a skill that can be learned and acquired by all of us. We are so fortunate to invite an excellent speaker, Seth Beebe, a missionary commissioned to our North American context, to lead a workshop on Friday July 20 (7:30-9:30) on helping us grow in this skill of starting Gospel conversations to the unsaved in our sphere of influence.
Fundraising for Mexico STM. In addition to the Offering Wall outside the gym, we are also fundraising through a food sale in the gym on July 15, 29, and August 12! Food tickets are sold until August 12 by the Mexico STM team. If you have any questions or would like to purchase a ticket, please ask Hannah, Pastor Darren, or Cecilia.
The expenses of church Summer Camp is around $33,110, we now have received $23,110. Please pray for the need and consider making an offering.
Urbana 2018 “Discern your place in God’s global mission” will be held on Dec 27-31 St Louis MO. Right now is still on early bird period. There is also an additional incentive of $150 USD off for the first five applicants. (Please speak to Rev. Joe about this before registering through the web site.)
