Last Sunday Annual General Meeting Election result: Thank the Lord, we have elected Jason Cheung, Arthur Wong, Carmen Ho & Cecilia Ho as 2019-2020 Elders; approved 2019 financial budget and approved CHAN CHOONG & CHANG CPA Professional Corporation as our external auditor for year 2018.

Elder Board Resolution in October: i) It is resolved to offer $5000.00 to C&MA from the Missions Fund. ii) It is resolved to transfer funds from Anne Louie Missions Fund and Anne Louie’s Car Fund accounts of our church to Anne Louie’s different accounts at C&MA as below: a) $3000.00 to Anne Louie’s Car Fund b) $4,000 to Anne Louie’s Work Special c) 4,000 to Mexico Chinese Alliance Church Project

Samaritan’s Purse “Operation Christmas Child” is a hands-on way for us to bless struggling children in the developing world by filling shoeboxes with toys, hygiene items, school supplies, and other items. Anyone can pick up one or more of the Christmas shoe boxes, to prepare their own. (Please see details on flyers and donate $10/box for shipping.) Our children will have a “Shoebox Packing Party” on Nov. 17 (Sat.) at 7:30pm. If you cannot pack your own, please donate $30/box and our children will prepare for you. (*All donation please use our offering envelope and write OCC on the line “Others___”) The deadline of collecting shoe box is Nov 18 (Sun). In addition, our church will go to the shoebox processing centre in Woodstock to volunteer on Nov 24 (Sat). You can contact Pastor Anthony or Pastor Darren for more information and registration.
Missions Department will be holding a sharing session on our missions direction next Sunday, Nov 4 at 1:30-2:30pm in rooms 10-11. All are welcome to attend and share their thoughts.
2018 Mission Conference “World Cup Mission” will take place on Nov 16 (Fri) at 7:45pm & 18 (Sun) at 9:30am. The speaker is International Missionary of the C&MA. B/S are encouraged to attend the conference and pray for the speaker, the messages and the conference preparation. And Children Mission Conference will be held on Friday night in the same time. Scripture Union will be the speaker. On Sat, children will be packing up the Samaritan’s Purse “Christmas Shoe Boxes”.
Small group ministry will be having a retreat from Nov 23 (Fri evening) to Nov 25 (Sun noon) at Sky Haven Retreat & Equestrian Centre (184 Ski Hill Rd, Bethany, ON). Day trippers are welcome to attend as well. Registration cost for overnight stay is $100. The registration form is found online at the Small Group Facebook page or at smallgroups.ccac.church. Registration deadline is Wed October 31st. Please contact Sheila Wong or any small group leader for any questions.
Our church forecast expenses is $738,951. Until end of Sept, we have received $426,475; therefore, from Oct to Dec we need $24,040 offering each week. Please continue to pray for our needs and brothers and sisters’ steadfast offering.
Pastor Darren Tsang will take vacation leave tomorrow to Nov 11.
Administrative Assistant Karen Fung will take vacation leave this Thu to Fri (Nov 1 to 2).
