Missions Department will be holding a sharing session on our missions direction today at 1:30-2:30pm in rooms 10-11. All are welcome to attend and share their thoughts.
Registration for Kids’ Praise Choir from Nov 2018 to June 2019 is open. Practices will be held every 2nd and 4th of the month from 1:30pm to 2:15pm. Please go to http://kidschoir.ccac.church for details and to register. The first practice will be next Sunday at 1:30pm in the Sanctuary to prepare for Christmas Eve presentation.
Our target set for Pastor Lewis & Felain Lam mission fund this year is $10,000. We have around $2,000 shortage right now. A target for Rev. Anne Louie mission fund has been reached. As for the missions fund, it still owes about $15,000. Please continue to support our missionaries financially and in your prayer. You can designate your offering to different missions fund on the offering envelope.
Small group ministry will be having a retreat from Nov 23 (Fri evening) to Nov 25 (Sun noon) at Sky Haven Retreat & Equestrian Centre (184 Ski Hill Rd, Bethany, ON). Please keep it in your prayer.
Samaritan’s Purse “Operation Christmas Child” is a hands-on way for us to bless struggling children in the developing world by filling shoeboxes with toys, hygiene items, school supplies, and other items. Anyone can pick up one or more of the Christmas shoe boxes, to prepare their own. (Please see details on flyers and donate $10/box for shipping.) Our children will have a “Shoebox Packing Party” on Nov. 17 (Sat.) at 7:30pm. If you cannot pack your own, please donate $30/box and our children will prepare for you. (*Please use our offering envelope and write OCC on the line “Others___”) The deadline for collecting shoe boxes is Nov 18 (Sun). In addition, our church will go to the shoebox processing centre in Woodstock to volunteer on Nov 24 (Sat). You need around 25 volunteers. 2018 Mission Conference “World Cup Mission” will take place on Nov 16 (Fri) at 7:45pm & 18 (Sun) at 9:30am. The speaker is International Missionary of the C&MA. B/S are encouraged to attend the conference and pray for the speaker, the messages and the conference preparation. And Children Mission Conference will be held on Friday night in the same time. Scripture Union will be the speaker. On Sat, children will be packing up the Samaritan’s Purse “Christmas Shoe Boxes”.
Our church forecast expenses is $738,951. Until end of Sept, we have received $426,475; therefore, from Oct to Dec we need $24,040 offering each week. Please continue to pray for our needs and brothers and sisters’ steadfast offering.
Pastor Darren Tsang is currently on vacation leave until Nov 11.
