Today English fellowships are scheduled to set up lunch and clean up. Please note and stay late to help.
Today is joint baptismal service including children. Children will only join the worship, baptism and testimonials sharing, and will return to the Orange program afterward. Baptismal candidates are: Steve Lau, Luther Yuen, Johnny Liao Liu, Emily Liao Liu & Amanda Li.
Church Sanctuary will be used by Markham Grace Chinese Church of the Nazarene for baptismal service today from 2:30-4:30pm.
Our church will send a short-term mission team to Taiwan to teach English from July 4th to 17th next year. Cornerstone Chinese Alliance Church will be given first priority. Deadline for priority registration is Jan 6, 2019. After Jan. 6, if there is space, we will open registration to other churches. Also, during Father’s Day in June next year, two to four members will be sent to Mexico City for a one-week mission. Anyone interested, please contact Derek Ng or Thomas Chang.
Our church will form a new pastoral searching committee to start Senior Pastor searching process. After the Chinese Service next Sunday, the General Meeting will be held to approve the three member representatives. A list of eligible voting members has been posted on the bulletin board outside the sanctuary. You can obtain a proxy form from the usher table. The three member representatives are: Noah Chang, Jim Tsang and Andrew Chan. And the representatives of the Elder Board are Carmen Ho and Grace Tang. This search committee will be in effect on January 1, 2019. We request all members to please stay to attend the General Meeting.
Elders and deacons quarterly meeting will be moved to Dec 15, Saturday in Rooms 1-3 at 9:30am. All 2018 & 2019 Elders & Deacons please attend.
Christmas Eve Joint Worship “The Perfect Christmas” will be held on Dec 24 (Mon) at 7:30pm. Please invite your family and friends to join this joyful event.
Themelios Retreatwill be from December 21 – 24 this year at Countryside Camp. Please pray for the speaker, the message and the open hearts of participants.
2019 Small Groups Registration: signup opens now toDec 18 deadline at https://www.ccac.church/eng/2019-small-groups-registration/. There will be 3 groups available: Community Small Groups (Wed), Discovery Small Group, Satellite Group (Friday). If you have any questions, please contact Rev Joe or Lewis Leung.
Our church forecast expenses is $684,361. Until last Sunday, we have received around $559,000; therefore, in Dec we need $25,000 offering each week. Please continue to pray for our needs and brothers and sisters’ steadfast offering.
Our target set for Pastor Lewis & Felain Lam mission fund this year has been fulfilled and reached. As for the missions fund, it still owes about $7,000. Please continue to support our missionaries financially and in your prayer. You can designate your offering to different missions fund on the offering envelope.
Our church will go to Toronto Alliance Church in downtown on Dec 15, Sat to provide dinner to needed people. Those who are interested to join and make a pot of soup, please contact Derek Ng or Adi Lau. Also, we would like to collect canned foods or instant noodles that are not expired yet. You can put the items in the collection box before Dec 9.
2019 Church Calendar “Songs of Life” is available for pick up at the reception table. Due to limited quantities, we are distributing one calendar per family.
