2019 Church Summer Camp will be held on May 18-20 (Sat-Mon) at Brock University, St. Catharines. The speaker is Rev. John Mah from Mississauga Chinese Alliance Church. The theme is “Losing Face, Saving Grace”. Children program and babysitting service are also available. Registration is starts today. Deadline is Apr 7 (Sun). Please remember the summer camp in your prayer.
Children Summer Day Camp will be held on July 15-Aug 2 (Mon to Fri) for children from JK to Grade 6.Early bird registration runs until Mar 10 (Sun) Registration forms are available on the reception table or church web site vbs.ccac.church. Please fill out the form & submit to Children department together with the camp fee (cheque). You are welcome to invite children outside our church to join.
Secret Church 2019 is taking place on Friday April 26 at 7 pm. This year’s topic is Prayer, Fasting and the Pursuit of God. In our culture that tells us anything is possible if we set our minds to it, what if we were never meant to be self-sufficient? We will study the Bible’s teaching on prayer and fasting and how God demonstrates His strength and sufficiency in our inabilities and weaknesses. Registration deadline is Sunday March 10. Cost is approximately $15. Please sign up with Sheila Wong or any small group leader.
To invite the congregation to be part of the Senior Pastor search, we are conducting a congregational survey. Please complete the survey by February 17 and drop it off at the survey box at the receptionist.
There are a large number of lost or private items in the cloakroom. Please come to pick up your personal belongings or check for lost items by today. Starting next Sunday, Feb 10, all items put in the cloakroom will be placed on the “Lost & Found Table” until Feb 24 (Sun). Afterward, the church office will handle the unclaimed items on its own.
Application for June’s baptism is OPEN. Please hand in application forms to either Pastor Darren Tsang, Cecilia Ho, or Philip Cheung by Feb 24 (Sun).
We are still accepting application for short-term mission trip to Taiwan to teach English to junior high students from July 4th to 17th. Please go to taiwan.ccac.church to register. Also, during Father’s Day in June, two to four members will be sent to Mexico City for a one-week mission. Anyone interested, please contact Derek Ng or Thomas Chang.
Our church will go to Toronto Alliance Church in downtown on Feb 16 (Sat) to provide dinner to underprivileged people. Those who are interested to join, please contact Derek Ng or Adi Lau. We welcome all the youth who is age 12 and over.
The deadline for submitting articles or department reports for 2018 Church Annual Report is Feb 24 (Sun). All the 2018 & 2019 elders and deacons are asked to take note.
