Elders and Deacons Meeting will take place this Sat, Mar 9 at 9:30am in Room 1-3. All Elders & Deacons please take note.
General Meeting will take place on March 17 right after Chinese Service in the sanctuary. All church members are required to attend. 2018 financial report has been inserted into today’s bulletin. A list of eligible voting members will be posted on the bulletin board outside the sanctuary next Sunday. Meeting agenda is as follows: i) Report of external auditors ii) To approve 2018 financial report iii) 2018 departments report.

Elder Board Resolution in February: i) It is resolved to approve the brothers and sisters listed below to join the 2019 Taiwan short-term mission trip: Allen Chien, Isaac Kong, Betty Kong, Angelina Tsui, Tony Tsui, Philip Cheung, Eleanor Cheung, Wendy Chuang, Andy Shang, Elsa Chan, David Chan, Yvonne Mak, Derek Ng, Joe Chan, and Betty Chan. ii) It is resolved to approve the brothers and sisters listed below to join the 2019 Mexico City short-term mission trip: Pat Yuen, Betty Kong, Simon Fok and Eva Fok. iii) It is resolved to approve Ariel Tsang to be a counselor of the Themelios Fellowship. iv) It is resolved to approve Tammy Xu/Lui to be the deacon of the Chinese Worship Department.

Secret Church 2019 is taking place on Friday April 26 at 7 pm. This year’s topic is Prayer, Fasting and the Pursuit of God. In our culture that tells us anything is possible if we set our minds to it, what if we were never meant to be self-sufficient? We will study the Bible’s teaching on prayer and fasting and how God demonstrates His strength and sufficiency in our inabilities and weaknesses. Registration deadline is Sunday March 10. Cost is approximately $15. Please sign up with Sheila Wong or any small group leader.
2019 Church Summer Camp will be held on May 18-20 (Sat-Mon) at Brock University, St. Catharines. The speaker is Rev. John Mah from Mississauga Chinese Alliance Church. The theme is “Losing Face, Saving Grace”. Children program and babysitting service are also available. Registration starts today. Deadline is Apr 7 (Sun). Please remember the summer camp in your prayer.
Children Summer Day Camp will be held on July 15-Aug 2 (Mon to Fri) for children from JK to Grade 6.Early bird registration runs until Mar 10 (Sun) Registration forms are available on the reception table or church web site vbs.ccac.church. Please fill out the form & submit it to the Children Department together with the camp fee (cheque). You are welcome to invite children outside our church to join.
