Happy Mother’s Day. Words are never enough to thank you for all that our mothers do. We ask our God to bless them with love and care.
Monthly English prayer meeting will be held today in the library at 1pm. We encourage you to come and pray with us.
Due to Church Summer Camp, there will be a Joint Sunday Service on coming Sunday at 11:15am for those who are not able to attend the camp. The message will mainly be in Cantonese with an abbreviated translation at the end. Please note that there will be no Sunday School, snack ministry, children program and lunch on that day. Camper rules and map can be picked up at the reception table.
Our church is going to recruit summer students granted by Canada Summer Jobs. The recruitment content, application procedures and detailed information is posted on jobs.ccac.church. The deadline of submitting application is next Sunday, May 19.
Plant lovers and gardeners – Get ready for our Markham Plant Swap event on June 1st, 2 – 4 pm! This will be the biggest plant swap event we’ve ever had so we are looking for at least 20 volunteers this time to cover different areas. (Welcome, greeters, set up, facilitators, refreshments). Please let Jackie Tsang or Cecilia Ho know if you are able to help in any way!
English Adult Retreat will be held on Aug 3-5, Sat to Mon (Civic holiday long weekend) at Five Oak Retreat Centre. Registration is now open, please visit https://forms.gle/8GShENMKiiUoLrS26 to register. This retreat is on a first come first serve basis as we only have 35 spots available. The deadline is June 2nd. The fee is $200 per person and you can give the fee to Chris Luck or Sheila Wong. If a financial subsidy is needed, please contact Lewis Leung or Sheila Wong.
Fund Raising with food sale for Taiwan & Mexico City STM will continue on May 26 during lunch time. If you want to help out for preparing and serving food, please contact Betty Kong from Zion fellowship.
Elder Board Resolution in April: i) It is resolved to offer $1,700.00 monthly to C&MA as GAF from the Mission Fund from March to November, 2019. ii) It is resolved to purchase the vertical personnel lift for no more than $13,000.00
