Fund Raising with food sale for Taiwan & Mexico City STM will continue today during lunch time.
Joint baptismal service including children will take place next Sunday, June 2 at 10:30am, there will be no Sunday School, Snack Ministry and Awana Clubs on that day. Parents please lead your children (ages 3-11) to have a seat in the children section. Children will only join the worship, baptism and testimonials sharing, and will return to the Orange program after that. Serving communion will be Philip Cheung, Adi Lau, Yvonne Mak, Ariel Tsang, Thomas Chang, Tom Choi, Derek Ng & James Chan.
Today at 1:30-3:00 p.m in rooms 10-11, we have a Plan to Protect seminar led by P. Anthony. Plan to Protect is training that provides the highest standard of abuse prevention and protection to organizations servicing the vulnerable sector. Therefore, those who work or potentially work with children/youth (<18 years old) should attend this seminar.
T-Shirts for SALE– For our church mission program, we are selling T-Shirts to raise funds. There are several options available. If there is interest, please browse at the table downstairs. The cost will be $20 per shirt, 2 for $35, a family of four would be $60. We have a few adult large and medium shirts available on a first come first serve basis. When our supply has run out, we will take down orders with payment. All ordered T-Shirts will be delivered before June 30. The sizes range from Children S/M/L and Adult S/M/L/XL.
Our church will go to Toronto Alliance Church in downtown on June 15 (Sat) to provide dinner to underprivileged people. Those who are interested to make sandwich and join, please contact Thomas Chang or Adi Lau. We welcome all youths who are 12 years old and over.
Our Pastors will attend ECD regional meeting in Toronto this Tue to Thu (May 28-30).
Elder and Deacon Meeting will take place on Jun 8 (Sat) at 9:30am in Room 1-3. All Elders & Deacons please take note.
Plant lovers and gardeners – Get ready for our Markham Plant Swap event on June 1st, 2 – 4 pm! This will be the biggest plant swap event we’ve ever had so we are looking for at least 20 volunteers this time to cover different areas. (Welcome, greeters, set up, facilitators, refreshments). Please let Jackie Tsang or Cecilia Ho know if you are able to help in any way!
Elder Board is resolved to approve the list of baptismal candidates for the June 2, 2019 baptism as follows: Maxwell Sze, Andrew Junior Chan, Jamison Chan, Hansel Lui, Simon Feng, Isaac Kong, Steven Liu and Vincent Ng.
English Adult Retreat will be held on Aug 3-5, Sat to Mon (Civic holiday long weekend) at Five Oak Retreat Centre. Registration is now open, please visit smallgroups.ccac.church to register. This retreat is on a first come first serve basis as we only have 35 spots available. The deadline is June 2nd. The fee is $200 per person and you can give the fee to Chris Luck or Sheila Wong.
