Bulletin for June 30, 2019

  • We welcome our guest speaker Rev. Amy Yu, Children Ministry in charge at Scarborough Chinese Baptist Church to preach for us this morning.
  • English fellowships are scheduled to set up lunch and clean up today & next week. Please note and come early to help.
  • Today during pastoral prayer, we will have commissioning prayer for Taiwan STM trip. They will be leaving in the coming week.
  • Today is the last day of Nomination of 2020 Elders Nomination Committee for 2 representatives from members. Please submit in writing to the Acting Senior Pastor by today.
  • Awana Clubs award presentation will be held on July 14 after Chinese Sunday Service. All parents please stay and attend. Also, there will be no Awana Clubs from July 21 to Sept 8. There will be a summer children program from 9:30-11:00am for age 3 to Grade 6.
  • Our church has hired the following students as our full time Summer Students on Children & IT ministries: Jeremy Ho, Sarah Ho, Fiona Wong, Nathan Choi, Nathan Zhang, Charity Wong, Simon Feng & Hannah Chan. Please pray and offer your support to our Summer Students.
  • 412 Fellowship will be pausing for a summer break in July to August. We will resume in September with the transition of the new Grade 7’s.
  • Rev. Dr. Joe Chan will go to Taiwan with short term mission team from July 3-16.
  • Thursday night badminton activity will be cancelled in July & August.
  • Church Fun Day will be held on July 27 (Sat). Registration is now accepted. Fee for each person is $5 (age 7 and up), free for new comers and $20 for each family. Please submit the registration form and fee to group leaders or Tom Choi from Zion Fellowship and invite your friends & relatives to attend. Deadline for registration is July 14.
  • Anne Louie recently found a one-bedroom unfurnished apartment. Our church is now fundraising the cost of buying furniture and appliances budgetd $2,400. The period of donation is from now to July 28. Please designate your offering to “Rev. Anne’s furniture” on the offering envelope.
  • For those that would like to understand and pray for the Taiwan Short Term Missions Trip, please follow our blog: taiwan.ccac.church. The same information will also be posted on the church Facebook page. We also have a bulletin board downstairs with individual prayer requests and some general information about this mission.
