  • Rev. Joe Chan is invited by Scarborough Chinese Baptist Church to preach in their English Sunday Service this morning.
  • English fellowships are scheduled to set up lunch and clean up next Sunday. Please note and come early to help.
  • Last Sunday Annual General Meeting Election result: Thank the Lord, we have elected Ricky Ho, Andrew Chan and Philip Cheung as 2020-2021 Elders; approved 2020 financial budget & approved CHAN CHOONG & CHANG CPA Professional Corporation as our external auditor for year 2019.
  • Children’s choir is still open for registration to prepare for Christmas Eve. There are total of five practice times from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm on Sunday. For details and registration, please go to kidschoir.ccac.church or pick up a registration form at the reception table. The first practice is today at 1:30 pm in room 10-11.
  • Mark your calendars! There is a Welcome Team (Usher) Training next Sunday, Nov 3rd at 1 pm during lunch in Room 4 for all current ushers and anyone interested in serving.
  • Daylight Saving Time – Please turn your clock 1 hour back before you go to bed this Saturday evening (Nov 2).
  • Samaritan’s Purse “Operation Christmas Child” is a hands-on way for us to bless struggling children in the developing world by filling shoe boxes with toys, hygiene items, school supplies, and other items. Anyone can pick up one or more of the Christmas shoe boxes, to prepare their own. (Please see details on flyers and donate $10/box for shipping.) Our children will have a “Shoe box Packing Party” on Nov. 23 (Sat.) at 7:30 pm. If you cannot pack your own, please donate $30/box and our children will prepare for you. (*All donation please use our offering envelope and write OCC on the line “Others___”) The deadline of collecting shoe boxes is Nov 24 (Sun).
  • 2019 Mission Conference “Mission XYZ” will take place on Nov 22 (Fri) at 7:45 pm & 24 (Sun) at 9:30 am. The speakers are International Workers (IWs) from the C&MA stationed in Japan, but on furlough, Pastor Henry & Wendy Chuang. B/S are encouraged to attend the conference and pray for the speaker, the messages, and the conference preparation.
  • From Finance Department: We expected the total expenses for our church this year (2019) is $859,779 and as of September 30 total offering received is $515,758.  We will need approx. $26,463 every week for the month of October to December to cover the deficit. Please remember and pray for our church financial situation.  
  • Rev. Darren Tsang will take vacation leave from Oct 28 to Nov 18.
