We welcome our guest speaker of the 2019 Mission Conference “Mission XYZ”, International Workers (IWs) from the C&MA stationed in Japan, but on furlough, Pastor Henry & Wendy Chuang.
Our target set for Pastor Lewis & Felain Lam mission fund this year is $10,000. We have around $1,790 shortage right now. A target for Rev. Anne Louie mission fund has been reached. As for the other mission fund, it still owes about $6,000. Please continue to support our missionaries financially and in your prayer. You can designate your offering to different missions fund on the offering envelope.
Today is the last day to register for our high school winter retreat, which will be from December 27–30 at Countryside Camp in Cambridge. Please submit the form with $100 registration fee by today.
Joint baptismal service including children will take place next Sunday, Dec 1 at 10:30am, there will be no Sunday School, Snack Ministry and Awana Clubs on that day. Children will only join the worship, baptism and testimonials sharing, and will return to the Orange program afterward. Serving communion will be Philip Cheung, Adi Lau, Yvonne Mak, Ariel Tsang, Thomas Chang, Tom Choi, Derek Ng & James Chan.
Our church will go to Toronto Alliance Church in downtown on Dec 21 (Sat) to provide dinner to underprivileged people. Those who are interested to make sandwich and join, please contact Derek Ng or Adi Lau. Also, we would like to collect clothes, canned foods or instant noodles that are not expired yet. You can put the items in the collection box.
Elders and deacons quarterly meeting will be held on Dec 14, Saturday in Rooms 1-3 at 9:30am. All 2019 & 2020 Elders & Deacons please attend.
2020 Church Calendar “Spring of Blessing” is available for pick up at the reception table. Due to limited quantities, we are distributing one calendar per family.
Elder Board Resolution: It is resolved that the list of baptismal candidates for the December 1, 2019 baptism be approved. The baptismal candidates are: Nicholas Young, Sam Tse, Daniel Mach, and Wai Yee Cheng.
From Finance Department: We expected the total expenses for our church this year (2019) is $859,779 and as of September 30 total offering received is $515,758. We will need approx. $26,463 every week for the month of October to December to cover the deficit. Please remember and pray for our church financial situation.
