Bulletin for August 2, 2020

  • Our church is still closed now. But we still hold worship online! We’ll be running livestreams during this period of closure. Please visit ccac.church for more information.
  • The English Ministry is holding a large Sunday School class for both youth and adults online on ZOOM at 11:15 a.m. More details and information are posted on the church website and Facebook.   
  • The English Ministry prayer meeting is online weekly on Thursdays at 8 p.m on ZOOM. Information is on the church website. All are welcome to join. Let us come together and pray for the world, our church, families, and individuals during these unprecedented times.
  • Today is Communion Sunday. We ask that church members prepare bread/cracker and grape juice to remember the Lord’s death.
  • Themelios will be taking a break in August to give time for training the new youth committee.
  • The 412 Fellowship will continue to meet bi-weekly in August. Information on transitions in September will be coming soon.
  • For nominations of 2021 elders by church members:
  1. Qualification for the Elder Nominee: – Meet the biblical requirement (Acts 1:21-26, 6:3-6, 1 Timothy 1:1-7, Titus 1:5-9) – Must remain as active & voting member for at least two years immediately prior to the election Must have served as a Deacon(ess) for two terms (4 years) – Willing to obey and execute resolution of the Board of Elders or General Meeting.
  2. Qualification of church member making the nomination: Must be a voting or active member
  3. Ways of Nomination: – In writing to the Nominating Committee, the Committee will screen the nomination – Written nominations must have two or more active members to sign for the proposal and seconded – Nominations must be submitted by the Sept 27 (Sun) to Nominating Committee. It won’t be accepted after the date.
  • Due to the cancellation of Sunday Services at church and closure of the church office, you can use the following methods to make Tithes and Offerings:
    1. Online Donation – Please visit give.ccac.church for detailed information on how to give online.
    2. Mailing Cheque – Please write down how the funds are to be allocated with personal information on a personal note. Then, mail both the cheque and note to the church (4757 14th Ave, Markham, ON L3S 3K3).
    3. Drop Off – If dropping off a cheque to the church in person, please contact the church office first before coming. Our staff will need to arrange with you.

Please Note: For the time being, the weekly offering report will be changed to a monthly offering report until we are able to hold Sunday Service in the physical church building. If you have any questions, please contact the church office.
