Bulletin for December 27, 2020

  • York Region has been moved from the red zone into the grey zone. Therefore, on-site English Service is now cancelled until further notice. The livestream of the worship will still run during lockdown. Please visit ccac.church for detailed information.
  • May we be slow to anger and condemnation but be swift to respond in love, peace and forgiveness. May unity be our motto and love for one another be our utmost desire in this new year. Happy New Year!
  • Next Sunday is Communion Sunday. We ask that church members prepare bread/cracker and grape juice to remember the Lord’s death.
  • Elder Board Resolution in Dec: It is resolved to make donation of $9,500 from Mission Fund to these 2 organizations: $7,500 ECD   $2,000 CCACA
  • If anyone has any expenses for 2020 that they would like to claim, please submit the claim form by Jan 10 (Sunday).
  • English Sunday School is taking a break and will resume January 17th.
  • 412 and Themelios is taking a break and will resume in January. Please check youth.ccac.church for the latest schedule then.
  • There will be no English Prayer Meeting on Dec 31st as it falls on New Year’s Eve, and will resume in the New Year on Jan. 7th at 8 p.m.
  • Finance update: Thank you Lord for his blessings. We should be able to balance our financial situation this year based on donations received so far in December.  May we be good stewards of God to use his resources wisely to expand his kingdom.
  • Senior Pastor Searching Updates: The pastoral searching committee has met with a Senior Pastor applicant and recommended to the Elder Board. The Elder Board will meet with this senior pastor applicant this month. Please pray for this meeting, pray for the Elder Board to have good communication, sharing and good understanding with this senior pastor applicant.
  • Due to the closure of on-site English Sunday Service, you can use the following methods to make Tithes and Offerings: 1) Online Donation – Please visit give.ccac.church for detailed information on how to give online. 2) Mailing Cheque – Please write down how the funds are to be allocated with personal information on a personal note. Then, mail both the cheque and note to the church (4757 14th Ave, Markham, ON L3S 3K3). 3) Drop Off – If dropping off a cheque to the church in person, please contact the church office first before coming. Our staff will need to arrange with you.
