English Online Prayer Meeting is every Thursday at 8 p.m. on ZOOM. Information is on the church website. All are welcome to join.
Next Sunday is Communion Sunday. We ask that church members prepare bread/cracker and grape juice to remember the Lord’s death.
At the Online General Assembly last Sunday: We have elected Christy Tang & Ally Lui as congregation representatives of the 2022 Elder Nomination Committee. Together with Rev. Brian Wong, they will form the Nominating Committee with representatives from the Elder Board: Carmen Ho & Philip Cheung and Pastoral advisor Rev. Daniel Tang. Please pray for wisdom, as they try to nominate elders for 2022.
For nominations of 2022 elders by church members: I) Qualification for the Elder Nominee: 1) Meet the biblical requirement (Acts 1:21-26, 6:3-6, 1 Timothy 1:1-7, Titus 1:5-9) 2) Must remain as active & voting member for at least two years immediately prior to the election 3) Must have served as a Deacon(ess) for two terms (4 years) 4) Willing to obey and execute resolution of the Board of Elders or General Meeting. Qualification of church member making the nomination: 1) Must be a voting or active member Ways of Nomination: 1) In writing or email to the Nominating Committee, the Committee will screen the nomination 2) Written or email nominations must have two or more active members to sign or with email addresses for the proposal and seconded Nominations must be submitted by the Sept 26 (Sun) to Nominating Committee. It won’t be accepted after the date.
Church Re-Opening: Our church is open to use of church facilities for fellowships, small groups and cell groups. The gym, room 1-3 and main floor (except Sanctuary) are for booking. All indoor facilities max occupancy is 25 people, and outdoor is 100 people. We only accept 1 booking per facility per day. All attendees must sign in and follow all safety measures (temperature checking, hand sanitizing, mask wearing & maintain social distancing). Elder Board Resolution in July: It is resolved to pay off the Building Mortgage with payout amount $189,512.57 from the Building Fund.
The Missions Department is preparing an online short-term mission in Mexico, to serve Mandarin speaking families with Rev. Anne Louie. There are 4 options: 1) Provide parenting craft ideas 2) Lead online ESL conversation class 3) Participate online Bible Study (Mandarin required) 4) Sunday online sermon/workshop (Mandarin required) For detailed information and registration, please visit stm.ccac.church.

We accept the India and Nepal financial support until August 15. Please select “Others” on the offering envelope or online donation and indicate that is for the “India & Nepal Relief”. As of July 11th, we have received $5,550.
