Bulletin for September 5, 2021

  • English Online Prayer Meeting is every Thursday at 8 p.m. on ZOOM. Information is on the church website. All are welcome to join.
  • Today is Communion Sunday. We ask that church members prepare bread/cracker and grape juice to remember the Lord’s death.
  • Installation Joint Service of Rev. Brian Wong will be held next Sunday at 10:30am. Eastern District Superintendent of C&MA in Canada Rev. Curtis Peters will be our guest speaker. Do plan to attend in person or online.
  • The English Men’s Group will start on Monday, Sept. 13 at 8-9:30 p.m. The commitment is every Monday (except Thanksgiving holiday on Oct. 11) till Dec. 20, which is 14 sessions. The group will be meeting on Zoom 1 (https://zoom.us/j/4757475701, password: 4757). The subject matter of the group will come from 1 Timothy with a focus on leadership and men issues. There will be some reflective questions to do before discussing together in the group. There is limited space as one of the goals of the group is to maintain authentic and meaningful discussion with sufficient time for each member to share.   • Our church will be rented to Election Canada for polling on Sept 20 (Mon). We are looking for 2 elevator operators who will operate the elevator and helping out election job. One from 8:30am to 3:30pm and one from 3:30pm to 8:30pm. Hourly rate is $17. Please email office@ccac.church to apply.
  • The India and Nepal Relief offering we have received total $11,300 as of Aug 31st.
  • The baptismal class will start in September.  Please contact Philip Cheung if you are interested in attending.
  • New Grade 7’s will be joining the English service starting on Sunday, September 5th. We welcome them as they make this transition ahead.
  • 412 Fellowship and Themelios. The 412 Fellowship will be restarting on Friday, September 3rd and will be welcoming the new Grade 7’s. Themelios will be restarting on Friday, September 10th and will be welcoming the new Grade 9’s. Both these fellowships will be meeting in-person at the church.   • Church Re-Opening: Our church is open to use of church facilities for fellowships, small groups and cell groups. For detailed information, please visit church website or contact fellowship counselors and pastors.
  • The deadline for nominations of 2022 elders by church members is Sept 26th (Sun).
  • Mexico online short-term missions continue to recruit brothers and sisters to serve Mandarin speaking families, with the following 4 options: 1) Provide parenting craft ideas   2) Lead online ESL conversation class 3) Participate online Bible Study (Mandarin required) 4) Sunday online sermon/workshop (Mandarin required) For detailed information and registration, please visit stm.ccac.church.
