Bulletin for March 26, 2023
- English Online Prayer Meeting will be on every Wednesday at 8 p.m. on ZOOM1 (pw: 4757). Information is on the church website. All are welcome to join.
- We welcome our guest speaker Pastor Ronnie Chang from Chinese Evangelical Alliance Church of Toronto to preach for us today.
- Next week is Communion Sunday. Please prepare your heart to remember the Lord.
- Online General Meeting will take place today at 1:30 pm on ZOOM. All church members please attend. ZOOM meeting information, please visit agm.ccac.church. Annual report is already uploaded in church website.
- Elder Board Resolution in March: i) It is resolved that the membership transfer of Jeffrey Lau to CCAC be approved.
- The English Congregation will be joining several sister Alliance churches to have a joint Good Friday Worship Service on April 7th, 4-5:30 p.m. at Scarborough Chinese Alliance Church. Afterwards, there is an optional dinner and reflection time (~5:30-7 p.m.) for adults. This is also a great time to fellowship with other brothers and sisters from other churches. Please click on the link here to register. The cost for dinner will be $10 per person. After registration, please give all dinner money to Pastor Joe. He will be collecting the funds on behalf of our church. We are also recruiting 5 table discussion facilitators and 2 helpers to clean-up. Please speak to Pastor Joe if you would be willing to serve. Today is the last day to register as organizers need to make the order for food.
- The registration requirement for lunch is ended. From April, the church will order 2 type of dishes and each fellowship will be responsible for cooking rice, set up and clean up once a month. The congregation can bring their own utensils to reduce waste to protect the environment. You are also welcome to make a free willing offering for lunch, which is tentatively set at about $8 per person (lunch donation is not included in the tax receipts).
- We will be having an adult retreat later this year on August 11-13 at Redeemer University. We are recruiting leaders to help plan and organize this retreat. Please speak to Pastor Joe if you would be willing to serve.
- Life Groups are launching in May! These groups are for our adults and they’ll be replacing the current Small Groups. Please go to the English website frontpage to sign-up before April 9. For questions, please ask Pastor Joe.
- Please pay extra caution when driving in the parking lot. Slow down to 15 km and let pedestrians get off and cross the road first.
- Pastor Anthony Yuen is currently on vacation leave until Mar 27.
