English Online Prayer Meeting will be on every Wednesday at 8 p.m. on ZOOM1 (pw: 4757). Information is on the church website. All are welcome to join.
Today English Congregation is scheduled to set up lunch and clean up. Please note and stay around to help.
In order to keep the church clean and tidy, please do not place personal items, especially on the kitchen countertops and coat racks.
As the parking lot of the church is starting to be tight, we ask you to be patient and follow the instructions of the traffic instructor. If necessary, the traffic instructor will need your phone number to contact you to move your vehicle. We hope the congregation will understand.
Life Groups are launching in May! These groups are for our adults and they’ll be replacing the current Small Groups. Please go to the English website frontpage to sign-up by today. For questions, please ask Pastor Joe.
The registration requirement for lunch is ended. The church will order 2 type of dishes and each fellowship will be responsible for cooking rice, set up and clean up once a month. The congregation can bring their own utensils to reduce waste to protect the environment. You are also welcome to make a free willing offering for lunch, which is tentatively set at about $8 per person (lunch donation is not included in the tax receipts).
At the Annual General Meeting two weeks ago, we thank God that the Audited Financial Statements of 2022 was approved and have elected Arthur Wong and Betty Chan as congregation representatives of the 2024 Elder Nomination Committee. Together with Rev. Brian Wong, they will form the Nominating Committee with representatives from the Elder Board Thomas Chang & Betty Kong. If you would like to have the 2022 Annual Church Report, you can download it from the church website.
Elder Board Resolution in March: 1) It is resolved that the membership transfer of Jeffery Lau to CCAC be approved. 2) It is resolved that Janice Liu be hired as the Family and Children Ministry Assistant and her contract will be from March 27, 2023 to August 21, 2024, with 15 working hours per week.
We will be having an adult retreat later this year on August 11-13 at Redeemer University. We are recruiting leaders to help plan and organize this retreat. Please speak to Pastor Joe if you would be willing to serve.
Please pay extra caution when driving in the parking lot. Slow down to 15 km and let pedestrians get off and cross the road first.
Rev. Darren Tsang is taking vacation leave until April 27.
