Bulletin for May 7, 2023

  • English Online Prayer Meeting will be on every Wednesday at 8 p.m. on ZOOM1 (pw: 4757). Information is on the church website. All are welcome to join.
  • Today is Communion Sunday. Please prepare your heart to remember the Lord.
  • English Congregation is scheduled to set up lunch and clean up next week. Please note and come early to help.
  • The deadline of applying summer students funded by government is today. The recruitment content, application procedures and detailed information is posted on the link.
  • Beginning with the General Meeting in March 2024, Member voting eligibility will be determined according to the requirements of the current church by-law’s “voting members”. Please be sure to sign in when you attend Sunday Service in order to fulfill the eligibility to vote in the future.
  • Offering through E-transfer is now available. From your bank’s website, you can donate via Interac e-Transfer within the transfer / payment menu option. No security question or password is required. Use the email account “eoffering@ccac.church“. In the “Message” section, please include your name, address, phone number, amount, and the offering accounts you would like to support. You can give to multiple funds in one transaction. (All undesignated donations will be allocated to the General Fund)
  • Since the lunch pre-registration is no longer required that started last month, each fellowship was responsible for cooking and clean up every week. So far, the process operated smoothly. To protect the environment, you can bring your own tableware and dishes to reduce waste. You are welcome to make a free-will lunch donation, $8 per adult, $4 per child under the age of 12, (lunch donation is not included in the tax receipts).
  • In order to have a closer partnership between our church and the missionaries whom we support in Mexico and Taiwan, Rev. Anne Louie and Rev. Albert Lu respectively, will ceremoniously sign a Seamless Link Covenant in both the Chinese and English services on May 21. The content of the covenant is about the commitment of our church to support them in terms of finance, prayer and care for them. In return, the missionaries will commit themselves to pray for our church and encourage believers through sharing and invite our church to participate in short-term mission teams in their respective local ministry context.
  • There will be no Saturday badminton activity in the summer starting this week, we will resume in the fall.
  • In order to keep the church clean and tidy, please do not place personal items, especially on the kitchen countertops and coat racks.
  • As the parking lot of the church is starting to be tight, we ask you to be patient and follow the instructions of the traffic instructor. If necessary, the traffic instructor will need your phone number to contact you to move your vehicle. We hope the congregation will understand.
  • Rev. Brian Wong is currently taking vacation leave until May 15.
