Bulletin for September 24, 2023

  • English Online Prayer Meeting will be on every Wednesday at 8 p.m. on ZOOM1 (pw: 4757). Information is on the church website. All are welcome to join.
  • We welcome our guest speaker Rev. Alvin Lau from CBOQ.
  • Rev. Joe Chan is invited by Melville Baptist Church to preach for Sunday Service this morning. He will be back to the church for Sunday School.
  • Next week is Communion Sunday, please prepare your heart to remember the Lord.
  • Baptismal/membership class will begin today. Speak to either Philip or Adi to enroll. Baptismal date is on Dec. 17th.
  • Plant Swap will be held this Saturday, September 30th, at 2-4 pm. This is an outreach event for our community. Contact Jackie Tsang or Janice Liu if you are interested to volunteer. Details in the sign up page. Use code “CCACMembers” for free tickets.
  • The church gymnasium will be renovated from Oct 2nd, and all sports activities from Monday to Friday will be canceled until further notice.
  • “How to develop Leaders” Training will be held on October 14th (Saturday) at 1pm-4pm at church. Rev. Alvin Lau, Youth Ministries Associate in CBOQ will come and share with us. Everyone is welcome to attend. Please register here.
  • Congregants are asked to check if there are any personal belongings around the church and to check for lost items. Since the gymnasium will be renovated, the GM Department will clean up the unclaimed items and place them on the lost and found table. The office will deal with the unclaimed items in a week.
  • Our church caretaker will be on vacation from Oct 3rd-11th. In order to keep the church building clean and neat. Please restore the tables and chairs you used. Keep the floors clean. All the garbage and used disposal utensils must be thrown into the big garbage bin with lid. Fellowships who take care of clean up, please collect all garbage and throw into the garbage bin outside. Thank you for your attention.
  • To protect the environment, you can bring your own tableware and dishes for lunch to reduce waste. You are welcome to make a free-will lunch donation, $8 per adult, $4 per child under the age of 12, (lunch donation is not included in the tax receipts).
  • Beginning with the General Meeting in March 2024, Member voting eligibility will be determined according to the requirements of the current church by-law’s “voting members”. Please be sure to sign in when you attend Sunday Service in order to fulfill the eligibility to vote in the future.
  • Offering through E-transfer is now available. From your bank’s website, you can donate via Interac e-Transfer within the transfer / payment menu option. No security question or password is required. Use the email account. In the “Message” section, please include your name, address, phone number, amount, and the offering accounts you would like to support. You can give to multiple funds in one transaction. (All undesignated donations will be allocated to the General Fund)
  • Administrative Assistant Karen Fung will take days off on Sept 28-29.
  • Pastor Anthony Yuen will take days off on Oct 3-10.
