- English Online Prayer Meeting will be on every Wednesday at 8 p.m. on ZOOM1 (pw: 4757). Information is on the church website. All are welcome to join.
- Today is Communion Sunday, please prepare your heart to remember the Lord.
- Elder Board resolution in Sept: i) It is resolved the following Membership Transfer applications be approved: Kai Tak Cheng, Fung Pin Yee, Bill Lam, and Anita Ngan.
- Online General Meeting will take place on Oct 15th at 1:30 pm on ZOOM; therefore. There will be no lunch provided on that day. An email will be sent to all eligible voting members with access links and verification code this Friday, Oct 6th. Members are required to do one of the following and submit the ballot by Oct 14th at 10pm: a. Complete the voting form and personally attend the meeting on ZOOM; or b. Complete the voting form and assign a proxy to attend the ZOOM meeting on their behalf. (proxy must assign to active member). Please note that it is the requirements per our by-laws that only the votes of those who attend (either personally or by proxy) will be counted. Members who only complete the form without attending or assigning a proxy will not have their ballots counted. Should you have any questions, please contact Rev. Joe and Rev. Darren. Should you not receive an email but you believe that you are an eligible voting member, please email office@ccac.church as soon as possible. Agenda as follows: 1) Election of nominees as Elders for 2024-2025: Cecilia Ho, Ricky Ho & Adi Lau. 2) To approve 2024 financial budget. 3) To approve CHAN CHOONG & CHANG CPA Professional Corporation as our external auditor for year 2023.
- The church gymnasium will undergo renovations tomorrow, and all sports activities from Monday to Friday will be canceled until further notice.
- “How to develop Leaders” Training will be held on October 14th (Saturday) at 1pm-4pm at church. Rev. Alvin Lau, Youth Ministries Associate in CBOQ will come and share with us. All leaders are welcome to attend. Please register here.
- In a continuous outreach effort, Baby Toys and Book Swap will be held on Saturday, October 21 at 2-4 pm. Volunteers are needed. Please contact Jackie Tsang or Janice Liu. For details, please visit the link.
- Congregants are asked to check if there are any personal belongings and lost items around the church. Since the gymnasium will undergo renovations, the GM Department will store any unclaimed items in the gym and place them on the lost and found table. The office will deal with the unclaimed items in a week’s time (either dispose or donate).
- Our church caretaker will be on vacation from Oct 3rd-11th. In order to keep the church building clean and neat. Please restore the tables and chairs you used. Keep the floors clean. All the garbage and used disposal utensils must be thrown into the big garbage bin with lid. Fellowships should clean and collect all garbage and throw it in the garbage bins outside after usage of the room. Thank you for your attention.
- To protect the environment, you can bring your own tableware and dishes for lunch to reduce waste. You are welcome to make a free-will lunch donation, $8 per adult, $4 per child under the age of 12, (lunch donation is not included in the tax receipts).
- Beginning with the General Meeting in March 2024, Member voting eligibility will be determined according to the requirements of the current church by-law’s “voting members”. Please be sure to sign in when you attend Sunday Service in order to fulfill the eligibility to vote in the future.
- Pastor Anthony Yuen will take days off on Oct 3-10.
- Rev. Brian Wong will take days off on Oct 3-8.
