Bulletin for October 8, 2023
- English Online Prayer Meeting will be on every Wednesday at 8 p.m. on ZOOM1 (pw: 4757). Information is on the church website. All are welcome to join.
- Rev. Darren Tsang is preaching for Western ACF this weekend.
- “How to develop Leaders” Training will be held on October 14th (Saturday) at 1pm-4pm at church. Rev. Alvin Lau, Youth Ministries Associate in CBOQ will come and share with us. All leaders are welcome to attend. Please register here.
- The Annual General Meeting (AGM) will move to Nov 5th, 2023 on Zoom at 1:30pn from Oct 15th, 2023. This is to give more time for the board to explain the church development to the congregations. On Oct 22nd, 11:30 am – 12:30 pm Pastor Brian will share the direction of the English and Cantonese ministry to the English congregation in the Town Hall meeting. Please attend.
- In a continuous outreach effort, Baby Toys and Book Swap will be held on Saturday, October 21 at 2-4 pm. Volunteers are needed. Please contact Jackie Tsang or Janice Liu. For details, please visit the following link.
- Elder Board resolution in Sept: i) It is resolved the following Membership Transfer applications be approved: Kai Tak Cheng, Fung Pin Yee, Bill Lam, and Anita Ngan.
- The church gymnasium is undergoing renovations now, and all sports activities from Monday to Friday are canceled until further notice.
- Congregants are asked to check if there are any personal belongings around the church and to check for lost items. Since the gymnasium will be renovated, the GM Department will clean up the unclaimed items and place them on the lost and found table. The office will deal with the unclaimed items in a week.
- Our church caretaker is now on vacation until Oct 11th. In order to keep the church building clean and neat. Please restore the tables and chairs you used. Keep the floors clean. All the garbage and used disposal utensils must be thrown into the big garbage bin with lid. Fellowships who take care of clean up, please collect all garbage and throw into the garbage bin outside. Thank you for your attention.
- To protect the environment, you can bring your own tableware and dishes for lunch to reduce waste. You are welcome to make a free-will lunch donation, $8 per adult, $4 per child under the age of 12, (lunch donation is not included in the tax receipts).
- Beginning with the General Meeting in March 2024, Member voting eligibility will be determined according to the requirements of the current church by-law’s “voting members”. Please be sure to sign in when you attend Sunday Service in order to fulfill the eligibility to vote in the future.
- Offering through E-transfer is now available. From your bank’s website, you can donate via Interac e-Transfer within the transfer / payment menu option. No security question or password is required. Use the email account. In the “Message” section, please include your name, address, phone number, amount, and the offering accounts you would like to support. You can give to multiple funds in one transaction. (All undesignated donations will be allocated to the General Fund)
- Pastor Anthony Yuen is taking days off until Oct 10.
