Prayer Requests: Day 5
Day 5.
There have been so many meetings and online communications for this team. Meetings with the missionary (Rev. Albert Lu), sub-teams that work on fundraising, teaching materials, sports and games, and general team meetings. The amount of work put forth to preparing for this trip has been enormous.
Yet, despite all the preparation put forth, we are told by the school (via the missionary) to revise our schedule, content, and programs frequently. We have no choice but to change since we want to build positive relationships and help Rev. Albert who will continue this Gospel work as opposed to making his work more difficult. Pray for the team’s preparation, and willingness to be flexible. Also, pray that our team would not be discouraged despite changes.
Today, I want to introduce another member of our team, Betty Kong. She is married to Ivan and has one son, Isaac, who is also on the team. We’ll introduce Isaac later. Betty has an incredible heart for mission. She has decided not only to join the Taiwan Short Term Mission trip, but also the Mexico Short Term Mission (June 5-9)! Please take a moment to see her prayer requests and pray for her.
Betty’s Prayer Requests
- Going to STM trip to Mexico in June and Taiwan in July, still have a lot of things to handle
- Need wisdom from God to deal with two missions trips that are so close together
- Need wisdom to approach the people there and to build good relationships
- Keeping good health
- Hoping that God would use the programs that we prepared
- That people’s minds would be open to hearing the gospel
