Prayer Requests: Day 8

Day 8.

Unity of the Team.

The entire team recently did a personality survey. There were four personalities characterized by four animals to discern: Lion (Let’s do it now!), Beaver (How was it done in the past?), Otter (Trust me! It will work out!), and Golden Retriever (Let’s keep things the way they are.). The survey was all by self-assessment based on the different qualities or behaviours that relate to that animal/personality.

The result was not surprising in that we are a very diverse group in terms of our personalities, communication styles, and goals. This relates to the diversity of the makeup of our team. E.g. Different ages, cultures, congregations, skills, gifts, talents, and personalities, etc. We celebrate diversity while at the same time recognizing that the Evil One can create disunity, conflict, and toxicity. Pray that the team can communicate well with one another, work together with one heart and one mind to serve the Lord, and bring positive witness to those we seek to minister to.

Today, I would like to introduce another member of our team, Eleanor Cheung. She is married to Philip and has two adult sons, Philemon and Enoch. Eleanor recently retired from the banking field. In her spare time, she enjoy several hobbies like gardening and cooking. In fact, one of the interest sessions she will be leading at the English camp in Taiwan is cooking! She will be making delicious rice crispy squares. Just thinking about those squares is already making some of the team members salivate! Please take a moment to read her prayer requests.
