Youth Ministry: December News

Youth Ministry: December News

Well, December is here, so let me be the first to already say to you, Merry Christmas! I’ve actually already gotten my Christmas playlist going (and if any of you use Spotify, you can check out my personally curated playlist here!). For the church, this is the season of celebration. This is the month where we remember and rejoice in the wondrous mystery of how God would actually take on human form in Jesus to save a lost humanity. At Christmas, we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, God Incarnate, our Lord and Saviour!

With all that in mind, how will your family join in the celebrations this year? What Christmas traditions do you have or maybe would like to start this year? Regardless of what you do, I pray that you would be able to have some quality family time and be able to join in on the festivities at the church as well!

But on flip side, I know that Christmas can also be a very challenging time for many individuals and families. With the strong emphasis on gathering with loved ones during this season, this time can be exceedingly difficult for those who may be unable to join with their family this time; or for those who have lost loved ones over the course of the year and this would be the first Christmas without them; or for those who are simply feeling lonely. For you, my prayers go to you. I pray that you would still somehow be able to experience the peace of God in this season. And know that you can always reach out to me or any of the other pastors if you’d like to talk!

As a church, let’s strive to invite and care for all who are in our midst this Christmas season. Let’s really live out the love of Christ!

But back to the world of Youth Ministry now, here’s what’s happening!
