Youth Ministry: December News

And that’s just about another year! Considering it’s not even December yet, I’m sure I’m going to take the privilege of being the first to say Merry Christmas to you! So, Merry Christmas!

For the church, this is the season of Advent. Throughout this month, we celebrate and remember that miraculous act in which God came to us as a human child. In this season, we remember how Jesus came to earth to be with us in order to ultimately die  for us and pay for our sins. This was the most humble act that we’ve ever witnessed in history — that God would condescend, take on inferior and mortal human flesh, to be a servant to us, and to ultimately die the most humiliating death for our sake. At Christmas, we remember God’s love, his grace, his mercy toward us, and the new life that we now have through him. This indeed is a season for reflection and celebration!

In the midst of all this, another bonus that we have in this season is the opportunity to spend some quality time with family and friends. I do hope that you’d be able to make the most of this time! Youth and parents — be intentional this year and make the effort to spend some time with one another! Do something together as a family — play a board game (or even a video game) together, go check out a Christmas Market, or even just cook up a big feast together. Whatever you do, just be intentional about mingling together!

Have a blessed Christmas season and may you be refreshed in your soul through encountering the love, joy, and peace of God.

Inter-Fellowship Connection – December 13, 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm @ SCAC (139 Silver Star Blvd)
Just as last year, we’re going to be having a Christmas inter-fellowship event with a few other Alliance churches. Both 412 and Themelios are encouraged to join. This will be taking place at SCAC. Stay posted for more details to come in the following weeks.

Themelios Retreat – December 27 – 30 @ Countryside Camp
Registration is now closed so I hope you’ve registered, this is going to be fun!

CHURCH EVENTS

Baptism Service –  Sunday, December 1, 10:30 am @ CCAC
From the Youth Ministry, we’re happy to congratulate Nicholas on his coming baptism this Sunday, congratulations! Come and join as we witness his baptism as well as three others this Sunday. Please note that this is a joint service at 10:30 am, there will be no English service or Sunday school.

Christmas Eve Service –  Tuesday, December 24, 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm @ CCAC
As this is a time of celebration, it’s of course most fitting for the entire church to come together to do so! All are welcome to join us on Christmas Eve for a night of worship, invite your family and friends!
