Youth Ministry: March News

Youth Ministry: March News

This past Sunday, I shared at our English Town Hall about our current needs in the Youth Ministry. In case you weren’t there, here’s where our needs currently stand:

  • For 412, we need at least two new counsellors
  • For Themelios, we need at least one new counsellor
  • For Sunday School for this coming summer, at least four teachers

Most dire of all is our need for counsellors for 412. Jeremy, our youth deacon, has been faithfully serving in this ministry for many years now but starting this Fall, because of anticipated changes to his schooling, he will no longer have a consistent schedule that would allow him to serve regularly on Fridays. As such, if we don’t have anyone serving in this fellowship by the end of summer, we may not be able to run this fellowship in the new school year.

Please pray that God would send passionate people who would love and disciple the youth of our church. Pray as well that we would be patient as we wait for his providence. I believe that if God calls us to a work, he will provide the workers.

But until then, here’s what’s happening this month:

Baptism Classes
For anyone interested in baptism, a new class will be starting this month. The next baptism service will be in June. This class is also suitable for anyone who just wants to gain a fundamental understanding of what the Christian faith is. For more information, feel free to contact me.

Fitness | 1st and 3rd Fridays, 6:15 – 7:15 pm
Want to get fit but can’t afford a gym membership? Our counsellors, Jeremy and Philemon, are starting a workout time for any youth who’d be interested in getting fit before fellowship. This will be a safe and fun time to sweat and invite your friends. For more information, please contact either of them.

Blessings,

Pastor Darren
