Youth Ministry: March News

Hi Everyone,

This month is the month of preparation for the church. Easter Sunday falls on April 1 this year (even though that’s also known as April Fools’ Day, all I can say is that the Good News of Jesus’ death, resurrection, and completed work of saving us is no joke at all!). While we anticipate that, we’re now in the season of Lent. For centuries, Christians around the world have taken this time to prepare themselves for the Easter celebrations by fasting and so fixing their attentions to their absolute need for Jesus. How will you as a family prepare your hearts for Easter this year? I invite you and your family to join us at our Good Friday service at SCAC on March 30, we have an amazing speaker lined up (details below)! I pray that we would all be uplifted by the Good News of Jesus Christ this Easter.

Good Friday – March 30, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm @ Scarborough Chinese Alliance Church
We’ll be joining again this year with other local C&MA churches at SCAC for our Good Friday service. Our theme this year is “From Genesis to Jesus” and our speaker is Rev. Dr. Sunder Krishnan. There will be a time of self-reflection through the Stations of the Cross available from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm. The service itself will be from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Parents, please drop-off and pick-up directly at SCAC.

HELP NEEDED! If any youth are interested in serving at this event, we’re looking for about 3 volunteers who would be interested in doing some live-acting as part of the Stations of the Cross reflections. If interested, you’d be required to show up on the day of at 4:00 pm. Please let me know as soon as possible if you’d be interested!
