Youth Ministry: September News
Here we go again! September is coming up and we’re gearing up to start the new school year. As a kid, I was always nervous about starting school again — new classes, new people, new pressures. For any of you youth out there who are feeling that way, you’re not alone! And more importantly, know that we at the church will be praying for you in this season of change. And if you ever need to talk, my door is always open.
NEW GRADE 7’S!
Congratulations on making it to Junior High! I know this transition can be frightening be we hope to make it as smooth as possible. Here’s some quick info on what to expect now with your transition into the English Ministry from the Children’s Ministry. We welcome you to join us in all our functions starting this Sunday.
English Sunday Worship, 9:30 am – 10:45 am
English Sunday School, 11:30 am – 12:30 pm
412 Fellowship, 1st and 3rd Fridays, 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Also as a a quick introduction in terms of personnel, I (Darren) am the pastor for Youth Ministries and Cecilia Ho is the Elder for Youth Ministries. Priscilla Li is the Deacon of Youth Sunday School and our counsellors for the two fellowships are Jeremy Ho, Ariel Tsang, and Enoch Cheung. Jeremy works specifically with the Junior High students and 412 Fellowship.
If you have any questions about our youth ministry, please don’t hesitate to approach any of us with your questions.
FELLOWSHIPS
412 Fellowship: Our grades 7-8 will be meeting on the first and third weeks this year at the church and the program will be joint with the Themelios program for the most part. Jeremy will continue to be your fellowship leader here and I’ll be there to support as well.
Themelios: Our high school fellowship will resume meeting weekly starting in September.
So both fellowships will be kicking off together on Friday, September 6 at 7:30 pm. If you’re new to our church or if you have friends that you’d like to invite, there’s no time like now to join us! The new year is always a good time to join a new group since everyone will be looking to meet new people and start with a blank slate. So come and join us and invite your friends too!
